WATERCRESS (Nasturtium officinale)

Aquatic/semi-aquatic plant that establishes itself in shallow bodies of water. Often cultivated for its edible young shoots, the lobed lvs can be eaten raw, cooked or dried. They have a peppery flavor & are crisp. Needs to be harvested before the buds appear as the lvs turn bitter after flowering. Rich in Vitamin C. Great in sandwiches, salads or makes an excellent soup! Part shade. 30 days to harvest.
