Perennial: Fleshy, paddle-like leaves form rosettes that resemble the shape of a clam shell. Green succulent leaves edged in red. (The reddish leaf margin only develops if there is enough light). From late winter to early spring a single 2-to 3-foot long stem bears clusters of sweetly fragrant, dark yellow tubular flowers. Clump forming. Size: 2' x 2'. Water: moderate (Keep dry in winter). Exposure: sun/part shade. USDA Z9.
