Shrub: Evergreen. Tolerates drought, coast, deer, fire, clay and gophers. Madeline Hill was an herb aficionado who has had many plants named after her. Great for cooking, has a nice savory flavor. But best of all, it is very cold hardy! Fairly compact habit. Ornamental uses: hanging baskets, ground cover, hedges, borders, & small topiary. Blooms: spring-summer. Blm color: pale blue. Size: 3' x 3'. Exp.: sun. Water: mod./dry. USDA Z6. (new name SALVIA rosmarinus 'Madeline Hill')
