Heirloom-Its skin is reddish-purple in color w/a sweet, mild taste. Elongated in shape, the bulbs resemble a torpedo or spindle. Its flesh is sweet, mild & tender w/lt. rose colored rings. It is delicious in salads, both cold & warm sandwiches, and on turkey burgers & hamburgers. Very adaptable & frost tolerant.
