Monastrell produces big, 3 1/2-4 inch, slightly flattened globes with lustrous, dark red skin and internal rings making it a large and attractive red storage onion. The plants are vigorous as well as disease and sun scald-resistant. Produces uniform yields of single-centered bulbs that store 4-6 months. Intermediate-day variety. Plant in full sun.
