Shrub: Mophead type (Hortensia). Deciduous plant with large doubled clusters of deep blue to pink flowers (pink in alkaline soils). Flowers begin in July and change to breathtaking shades of red and deep blue as the season progresses. Good in borders & pots. Nice cut flowers, fresh or dried. Blooms: summer-fall. Vigorous & free-flowering. Deer & gopher resistant. Rounded growth, 3-5' x 3-5'. Sun on coast, part shade inland. Water: moderate. USDA Z5-9. PP#16,223
