Perennial: CA native. Deer resistant & drought tolerant. Clusters of wht to cream sometimes tinged w/prpl flowers appear summer-fall. Important host plant for Monarch & Striated Queen butterflies & caterpillars. The attractive blue-gray lvs are hairy w/noticeable midvein & the fruits are fat, tapering to a blunt tip. Attracts bees & hummingbirds. Good for borders. Size: 1-3' x 1-3'. Exp.: sun. Water: dry. Can take clay, sandy or rocky soil.
